Placement is obviously the number one goal of all of the partners. The educational institution trains individuals with the hope that their skills will be marketable. The Department of Human Services helps people get back on their feet again when faced with difficult times. The Job Training Partnership Act helps people develop the skills necessary for employment. And the Oklahoma Employment Security Commission has the mission of placing clients within a suitable career.
By partnering, all of the agencies are better informed about job openings within the community. The sharing of information that takes place within the center includes meetings that specifically discuss upcoming placement opportunities.
Within the Workforce Center, placement obviously becomes easier because the whole process from training to job searching, and from assessment to interviewing occurs in one location. The convenience this provides for both the employer and job seeker saves time and energy while fostering appropriate placement, matching the job seeker to job that best suits their skills and interests.
